Welcome to Salem Lutheran Church

Salem Lutheran Church of Sycamore, IL is a friendly, vibrant congregation of the Northern Illinois Synod of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America with the goal of Living Christ’s Love.  Browse our worship, education, and outreach ministries, participate in worship or visit one of our programs, and see if Salem is the community of faith for you or your family.

Birthed in 1870 by a small group of Swedish immigrants, Salem celebrates 148 years in 2018 and offers its facility at 1145 DeKalb Ave as a center for worship and mission.   Blessed by the gifts of many, many people of faith, Salem continues to teach, serve, and celebrate God’s gift of grace in the person of Jesus Christ, and all are welcome.

Envelopes will be in the bulletin this weekend for LSSI Sunday.

Dear Salem,

Thank you so much for your support during our Culver’s share night. It is an incredible feeling to walk into the dining room at Culvers and feel like you’re walking into Fellowship Hall because nearly everyone there is from Salem! The share night raised over $150 for our trip, but more importantly, it showed our youth just how valued and supported they are! A special thank you to the puppet team for their support throughout the evening.
