Salem Food Pantry was the November project for Sunday School families. We presented Liz Ezell with several bags of non-perishable food on November 18th and plan to do this again in the spring.
Our Sunday School Families are keeping the kids treat supply in great shape. This helps the budget so much – many of you just bring items and just leave in the office.
Students picked a name from the Avancer Homes Giving Tree. They donated enough money to purchase everything on their person's wish list! What a wonderful way to share God’s Love!
In January we start learning about The House on the Rock. Cooking Class will focus on; My faith is built on the rock of God’s Word. Kids use ingredients to build a creative structure that will “fall down” in the microwave. And the Bible Skills focus is God helps when things are hard. They will play a game with hard task to complete goals. Class is adapted for each age group.

Salem Sunday School offers Sunday morning Christian education to 3-year old Beginners through 8th grade during the school year.
Sunday School classes start weekly at 9:15 a.m. Beginners through 5th graders meet as a large group in Fellowship Hall to enjoy singing, hearing the week's Bible story, praying, and rehearsing for the Christmas Program. The classes then head to their classrooms for lessons and activities. The 6th/7th/8th graders meet at 9:15 am in their classroom.
Rally Day kicks off the new Sunday School year each fall with registration where you can meet the teachers and find out how you can help as a parent or guardian.
Children are encouraged to share an offering of a needed item from the Salem's Food Pantry needs list on the first Sunday of each month.
Salem Sunday School students participate in worship during our Grace Services held on the 3rd Sunday of each month October-May

This curriculum starts at the beginning of the Bible and moves through to the early church using a video clip and sketch journals each week along with the Bible.
We're always looking for good teachers who are inspired to serve our young people. A screening check is required of all teachers and staff.
Children are always welcome at worship. However, if needed, there is a staffed nursery available (Sunday mornings) in the upper hallway just past the sofa lounge area.
Katy Kingren, Nursery Director, and our nursery attendants Mel DuBois and Krysten Jones would love to meet your infant, toddler, or child under 5. Nursery staff wear yellow Shining Star t-shirts for easy identification.
