Each of you helped to open minds and you touched their souls with the Word, love and enthusiasm. Thank you! Blessings, Jen Ferro / Kathy Vickers
Also, without gifts from parents, our Salem family, the Trust Fund, Thrivent Choice, and from Youth & Family we could not provide the programing that is allowing our kids to grow in faith and to have a great team experience each Sunday. Thanking each of you.
GRACE is an important part of building faith each month for Sunday School students – Mary Kasper, Chris Swedberg, and Carla Vanatta – we thank you for all you do to plan, guide, and teach!
Puppet Praise Team did an amazing job leading GRACE during the May 19 GRACE service and celebration of milestones for Creative Arts, Confirmation, and Sunday School.
We also thank -
• The Worship Team!
• Mike Ferro and Brandon Johnson for grilling the best burgers and hotdogs at our end-of-the-year celebration.
• Ryan Hooper for bringing his squad car to enjoy!
• The Simmons, Ezell, Mangini, Johnson, Ferro families and many other hands for helping with dishes and clean up duties.
• Face Painting was fun and provided by the Youth Group and Nichole.
• Games the 4/5 Sunday School class, Youth Group and parents!
• Set –Up Help – Rita Johnson, Jen Ferro and Kathy Vickers.
• Thank you all for bringing wonderful food and drinks! And thanks to those that served!
We loved that we had more people than space … already working on plans to rearrange things for next year to alleviate space and time issues. What a great problem to have!
Great things happen when God’s people come together to celebrate His gifts! Jen and Kathy are looking forward to Sunday School this fall to see what will happen next!
Salem Sunday School offers Sunday morning Christian education to 3-year old Beginners through 8th grade during the school year.
Sunday School classes start weekly at 9:15 a.m. Beginners through 5th graders meet as a large group in Fellowship Hall to enjoy singing, hearing the week's Bible story, praying, and rehearsing for the Christmas Program. The classes then head to their classrooms for lessons and activities. The 6th/7th/8th graders meet at 9:15 am in their classroom.
Rally Day kicks off the new Sunday School year each fall with registration where you can meet the teachers and find out how you can help as a parent or guardian.
Children are encouraged to share an offering of a needed item from the Salem's Food Pantry needs list on the first Sunday of each month.
Salem Sunday School students participate in worship during our Grace Services held on the 3rd Sunday of each month October-May
This is the curriculum for our 6th/7th/8th grade Sunday School class! All 6th/7th/8th grade students are welcome in this class meeting Sunday mornings 9:15 am – 10:15 am September 16, 2018 to May 2019.
This curriculum starts at the beginning of the Bible and moves through to the early church using a video clip and sketch journals each week along with the Bible.
We're always looking for good teachers who are inspired to serve our young people. A screening check is required of all teachers and staff.
Children are always welcome at worship. However, if needed, there is a staffed nursery available (Sunday mornings) in the upper hallway just past the sofa lounge area.
Katy Kingren, Nursery Director, and our nursery attendants Mel DuBois and Krysten Jones would love to meet your infant, toddler, or child under 5. Nursery staff wear yellow Shining Star t-shirts for easy identification.
